- Provide overall strategic direction and leadership for the Litigation department at Charles Schwab.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive litigation management strategy to ensure the company remains compliant with all legal regulations.
- Proactively identify potential legal risks and provide advice and guidance to the company's leadership team.
- Manage and oversee all litigation matters, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing the company in court.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
- Oversee and manage relationships with outside counsel and ensure that all litigation matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant industry and legal developments and advise the company on potential impacts and implications.
- Provide training and guidance to other members of the legal team and company employees on legal matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, government officials, and industry organizations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the company's leadership team and provide timely and accurate legal advice and counsel.
- Ensure all legal activities and processes comply with ethical standards and are in line with the company's values and policies.
- Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties, including clients, partners, and vendors.
- Monitor and manage the department's budget and resources effectively.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide legal policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Litigation, Preferably At A Large Law Firm Or In-House Legal Department.
Admitted To Practice Law In The State Where The Position Is Located.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Handling Complex Litigation Matters, Including Trial Experience.
Strong Understanding Of Financial Services Industry And Regulatory Environment, With Experience Providing Legal Counsel To A Financial Services Company Preferred.
