  1. Provide strategic legal counsel and guidance to business leaders at Charles Schwab.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the financial services industry.
  3. Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and initiatives.
  4. Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  5. Advise on legal risks and potential impacts of business decisions.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in laws and regulations.
  8. Communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other third-party vendors.
  10. Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals to ensure high-quality work output.
  11. Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions as needed.
  12. Handle dispute resolution and litigation matters.
  13. Monitor and report on legal risks to senior leadership.
  14. Provide training and guidance to employees on legal matters.
  15. Represent the company in legal proceedings and regulatory inquiries.
  16. Continuously evaluate and improve legal processes and procedures.
  17. Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  18. Support and uphold the company's values, mission, and culture.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Attorney, With At Least 5 Years In A Corporate Or In-House Legal Counsel Role

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Securities And Financial Services Laws And Regulations, Including Sec And Finra Rules

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advise And Influence Senior Leadership

  • Proven Track Record Of Providing Strategic Legal Guidance And Mitigating Risk In A Fast-Paced And Highly Regulated Industry
