Job Description

Chapman University is seeking a dedicated and energetic Program Coordinator to join our Student Involvement team. As the Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and evaluating programs and events that enrich the student experience and foster a sense of community on campus.   1. Plan and execute a diverse range of programs and events that align with the mission and goals of the Student Involvement team and Chapman University.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and student organizations to develop and implement engaging and inclusive programs and events.
  3. Create and maintain a calendar of events and programs to ensure efficient planning and avoid scheduling conflicts.
  4. Develop and manage budgets for programs and events, ensuring responsible use of resources.
  5. Promote and market programs and events to increase attendance and participation from students.
  6. Coordinate logistics and details for programs and events, including securing venues, equipment, and supplies.
  7. Supervise and provide guidance to student staff and volunteers assisting with programs and events.
  8. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and assess the success of programs and events, making recommendations for improvement.
  9. Stay informed about current trends and best practices in student programming and incorporate them into program planning.
  10. Maintain accurate records and data related to programs and events for reporting and assessment purposes.
  11. Serve as a liaison between the Student Involvement team and other university departments, student organizations, and external partners.
  12. Cultivate relationships with students and provide support and guidance to help them get involved and engaged on campus.
  13. Act as a resource for students, providing information and assistance related to programs and events.
  14. Stay up-to-date on university policies and procedures and ensure programs and events comply with them.
  15. Collaborate with Student Involvement team members to develop and implement strategic initiatives and goals for enhancing the student experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Education, Student Affairs, Or Leadership Studies.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In Student Involvement, Programming, Or Event Planning.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Events Simultaneously.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage And Collaborate With Students, Staff, And Faculty.

  • Familiarity With Student Development Theories And Best Practices In Student Involvement And Engagement.
