1. Ensure the safety and security of the Chapman University campus by conducting regular patrols and responding to any potential threats or emergencies.

3. Provide a visible presence on campus and serve as a resource for members of the community, offering assistance and information as needed.
4. Collaborate with other campus departments and law enforcement agencies to address safety concerns and coordinate responses when necessary.
5. Report any suspicious or criminal activity to the appropriate authorities and assist in investigations as needed.
6. Respond to and document all incidents and accidents on campus, including but not limited to thefts, disturbances, and medical emergencies.
7. Serve as a role model for students and promote a culture of safety and responsibility within the campus community.
8. Maintain a thorough knowledge of campus buildings, grounds, and emergency procedures to effectively respond to any situation.
9. Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current on safety and security best practices and procedures.
10. Communicate effectively and professionally with all members of the campus community, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
11. Uphold the highest standards of integrity and adhere to all laws, policies, and ethical standards in the performance of duties.
12. Serve as a first responder for campus emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.
13. Assist with special events and activities on campus, ensuring the safety and security of all attendees.
14. Continuously evaluate and improve safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of the campus community.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Campus Safety Department or university administration.
