
Director of Career Development and Engagement

- Develop and implement a comprehensive career development and engagement strategy that aligns with the university's mission and goals.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the university's career services, including career advising, job/internship placement, and employer relations.
- Design and facilitate career development workshops, seminars, and events to educate students on career exploration, job search strategies, and professional development.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into the curriculum and provide resources for students to explore different career paths.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers to create internship and job opportunities for students.
- Stay updated on current industry trends and market demands to ensure our students are prepared for the workforce.
- Create and maintain career development resources, including resume and cover letter templates, interview preparation guides, and networking tips.
- Supervise and mentor a team of career counselors to provide high-quality career services to students.
- Monitor and analyze data on student outcomes and use this information to continuously improve our career development programs.
- Serve as a liaison between students, alumni, and potential employers to facilitate networking opportunities and build a strong alumni network.
- Collaborate with other university departments to promote career services and engage students in career-related activities.
- Develop and manage the career services budget, including allocating resources for events, workshops, and other career development initiatives.
- Represent the university at career fairs, conferences, and other events to promote our career services and build relationships with employers.
- Provide individual career counseling to students and assist them in developing career goals and action plans.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion by providing equal access to career services for all students.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Career Development And Engagement, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
A Master's Degree In Counseling, Education, Human Resources, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Strong Relationships With Students, Alumni, And Employers.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Career Development Programs And Services.
Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In Career Development And Engagement, Including Familiarity With Technology And Social Media Tools For Career Advancement.
