  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  2. Monitor and maintain building automation systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and identify potential issues or hazards, taking corrective action as needed.
  4. Respond to tenant requests and troubleshoot any issues related to building systems.
  5. Monitor and maintain building safety protocols and procedures, including fire and life safety systems.
  6. Coordinate and oversee the work of contracted service providers, ensuring work is completed on time and to company standards.
  7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, including work orders, service reports, and equipment logs.
  8. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to building operations and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in building systems and technology.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  11. Act as a liaison between the company and union representatives, ensuring compliance with union rules and regulations.
  12. Train and mentor new team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  14. Prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines and respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Education And Training: A Union Operating Engineer At Cbre Group Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As Completion Of A Relevant Apprenticeship Program Or Trade School Training In Operating Engineering.

  • Valid Licenses And Certifications: Candidates For This Role Must Possess A Valid Operating Engineer License Or Certification From The Relevant State Or Local Regulatory Agency. They May Also Be Required To Have Additional Certifications, Such As Hvac Or Electrical Licenses.

  • Experience In Building Maintenance: Cbre Group Requires Union Operating Engineers To Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Building Maintenance Or A Related Field. This Includes Experience In Operating And Maintaining Building Systems, Such As Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: Union Operating Engineers Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Building Operations. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha Standards, Fire Safety Codes, And Other Relevant Regulations.

  • Physical Abilities: The Role Of A Union Operating Engineer May Involve Heavy Lifting, Climbing Ladders, And Working In Confined Spaces. Therefore, Candidates Must Have The Physical Ability To Perform These Tasks And Be Comfortable Working In A Physically Demanding Environment.
