In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing various building systems and equipment.   1. Operate and maintain building systems and equipment, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure building systems are functioning properly.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair any issues with building systems and equipment in a timely manner.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  5. Utilize cutting-edge technology to monitor and maintain building systems, including computerized maintenance management systems.
  6. Collaborate with other team members and building staff to ensure efficient and effective building operations.
  7. Communicate with clients and address any concerns or requests in a professional and timely manner.
  8. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, as well as any equipment inventory.
  9. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for building operations and maintenance.
  10. Continuously strive to improve building operations and find ways to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as any relevant union regulations.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and represent the company in a positive light at all times.
  13. Attend training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to building operations.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Union Operating Engineer Job At Cbre Group.

  • Union Membership: Candidates Must Be A Member Of The Appropriate Union, Such As The International Union Of Operating Engineers (Iuoe), To Be Considered For A Union Operating Engineer Position At Cbre Group.

  • Previous Experience: Most Union Operating Engineer Positions At Cbre Group Require A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Operating And Maintaining Equipment And Systems In Commercial Buildings.

  • Technical Skills: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Mechanical, Electrical, And Plumbing Systems, As Well As Experience With Hvac And Other Building Automation Systems. Knowledge Of Local And National Building Codes Is Also Important.

  • Physical Ability: The Position Of Union Operating Engineer At Cbre Group Requires Individuals To Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform Tasks Such As Lifting And Carrying Heavy Equipment, Climbing Ladders And Stairs, And Standing For Long Periods Of Time. A Valid Driver's License May Also Be Required.
