- Conduct non-invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and evaluate vascular diseases and disorders in patients.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in vascular imaging and testing, ensuring accuracy and quality of results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and provide necessary information for patient care.
- Administer contrast media and other medications as prescribed by physicians during procedures.
- Accurately document and record test results, patient information, and any other pertinent information in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all infection control and safety protocols.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in vascular technology by attending workshops, conferences, and other educational opportunities.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow, provide coverage when needed, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with developing and implementing new protocols and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow ethical standards in all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Vascular Technology, Or Related Field.
Registered Vascular Technologist (Rvt) Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Vascular Ultrasound Exams.
Knowledge And Proficiency In Using Vascular Ultrasound Equipment And Software.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
