  1. Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures including carotid, venous, arterial, and abdominal studies.
  2. Operate and maintain vascular ultrasound equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.
  3. Provide patient education and explanation of procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  4. Perform accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  7. Stay up to date on new techniques and technologies in the field of vascular technology.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, healthcare team members, and management.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  11. Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients.
  12. Handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  13. Maintain accurate inventory and order necessary supplies for procedures.
  14. Adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Attend and participate in meetings and educational training sessions as required.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Vascular Technology Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Vascular Technology Or A Related Field Is Essential For A Vascular Technologist Position At Catholic Health Initiatives. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Diagnostic Tests And Procedures Accurately And Effectively.

  • Certification By The American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Ardms): Catholic Health Initiatives Requires All Vascular Technologists To Be Certified By The Ardms. This Certification Ensures That The Technologist Has Met The Highest Standards Of Education And Clinical Experience In The Field Of Vascular Sonography.

  • Prior Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting: Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For A Vascular Technologist Position At Catholic Health Initiatives. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment, As Well As A Familiarity With Hospital Protocols And Procedures.

  • Strong Understanding Of Vascular Anatomy And Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of Vascular Anatomy And Physiology Is Crucial For A Vascular Technologist. This Knowledge Is Essential For Accurately Interpreting Diagnostic Images And Identifying Potential Abnormalities Or Diseases.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Vascular Technologist, You Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
