
Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in the surgical telemetry unit.
- Utilize expertise in telemetry and surgical care to monitor and assess patient's condition and make appropriate medical interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitor and maintain patient's vital signs and other physiological parameters.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare team members, and patients to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and activities to improve patient outcomes.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other nursing staff.
- Attend trainings and educational programs to stay updated on advancements in surgical telemetry nursing.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nursing skills and knowledge.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Participate in interdepartmental and hospital committees as needed.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the nurse manager or supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required To Be Considered For A Surgical Telemetry Rn Position At Catholic Health Initiatives. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Clinical Practice.
Current Rn License: Candidates Must Possess A Valid And Current Registered Nurse License In The State Where The Position Is Located. This License Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Education And Competency Requirements Necessary To Provide Safe And Competent Care.
Acls And Bls Certification: The Candidate Must Possess Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications. These Certifications Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Respond To Cardiopulmonary Emergencies And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Surgical Or Telemetry Nursing: Catholic Health Initiatives Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Either Surgical Or Telemetry Nursing. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Competence In Caring For Patients With Complex Medical Conditions And Utilizing Advanced Monitoring Technology.
Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: A Surgical Telemetry Rn Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With The Surgical Team And Communicate With Patients And Their Families. They Must Also Possess Strong Critical Thinking Skills To Assess And Analyze Patient Data And Make Critical Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
