  1. Provide high-quality care to surgical patients by utilizing your expertise in surgical nursing and telemetry monitoring.
  2. Assess and monitor patient's condition before, during, and after surgery.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any changes in a patient's condition.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a patient-centered approach to care.
  7. Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
  8. Monitor and interpret telemetry data to identify any abnormalities and take appropriate action.
  9. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
  10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  11. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing patient care.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the surgical unit.
  14. Mentor and train new nursing staff as needed.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Health Initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License: A Qualified Surgical Telemetry Rn At Catholic Health Initiatives Must Possess A Valid And Current Rn License.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Role, Although A Master's Degree Is Preferred.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications: The Candidate Should Have Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Surgical Telemetry Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Surgical Telemetry Unit, With A Strong Understanding Of Post-Operative Care And Monitoring.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: The Role Of A Surgical Telemetry Rn Involves Close Collaboration With Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As The Ability To Assess And Respond To Critical Situations. Therefore, Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills Are Essential Qualifications For This Job.
