Job Description

Welcome to Catholic Health Initiatives! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Surgical Access Registered Nurse to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and safe access to surgical procedures for our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering compassionate care.   1. Assess and evaluate patients' surgical needs and ensure appropriate care is provided.
  2. Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and provide necessary interventions during surgical procedures.
  4. Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-operative care, including potential risks and complications.
  5. Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and sterile surgical environment.
  8. Monitor and manage patient pain levels and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  9. Keep abreast of current trends and advancements in surgical nursing and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  10. Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families during the surgical process.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.
  12. Act as an advocate for patients' needs and concerns, addressing any issues that may arise during their surgical experience.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while providing exceptional care to patients.
  15. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Rn License: The Candidate Should Hold A Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where The Job Is Located.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Surgical Nursing Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Registered Nurse In A Surgical Setting.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications: The Candidate Should Possess Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Procedures And Experience Working With Surgical Equipment, Including Sterilization Techniques And Operating Room Protocols.
