
Surgical Access Access Registered Nurse

- Assess and evaluate patients' surgical needs and ensure appropriate care is provided.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide necessary interventions during surgical procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-operative care, including potential risks and complications.
- Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and sterile surgical environment.
- Monitor and manage patient pain levels and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Keep abreast of current trends and advancements in surgical nursing and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families during the surgical process.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.
- Act as an advocate for patients' needs and concerns, addressing any issues that may arise during their surgical experience.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while providing exceptional care to patients.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Current Rn License: The Candidate Should Hold A Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where The Job Is Located.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Surgical Nursing Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Registered Nurse In A Surgical Setting.
Bls And Acls Certifications: The Candidate Should Possess Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association.
Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Procedures And Experience Working With Surgical Equipment, Including Sterilization Techniques And Operating Room Protocols.
