  1. Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments according to industry standards and best practices.
  2. Inspect and assemble medical equipment and instruments to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  3. Maintain and organize inventory of sterile supplies and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
  4. Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and proper handling of equipment.
  6. Follow established procedures for decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
  7. Keep accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
  8. Identify and report any issues or malfunctions with equipment to appropriate personnel.
  9. Comply with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up to date on industry standards and best practices.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  12. Contribute to a positive and efficient healthcare environment by supporting and collaborating with other team members.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  14. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and quality control in all job duties.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician (Cspdt) Or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Credential From A Recognized Accrediting Agency Such As Iahcsmm Or Cbspd.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required, With Additional Training Or Coursework In Sterile Processing Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience In Sterile Processing In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In An Acute Care Hospital.

  • Knowledge Of Aami And Aorn Standards For Sterile Processing, As Well As Infection Control Protocols.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment. Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills.
