  1. Oversee the sterilization and distribution of medical equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  2. Develop and implement processes and procedures for efficient and effective sterilization and distribution of medical equipment and supplies.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and maintained.
  4. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterilized equipment and supplies.
  5. Train and supervise staff on proper sterilization techniques and protocols.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  7. Keep detailed records of all sterilization activities and maintain accurate documentation.
  8. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to sterilization and distribution of medical equipment and supplies.
  9. Troubleshoot any issues or concerns related to sterilization processes and equipment.
  10. Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to address any questions or concerns regarding sterilization processes.
  11. Collaborate with infection control teams to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  12. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to sterilization and patient safety.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working In A Sterile Processing Department, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Or Certified Sterile Processing And Distribution Technician (Cspdt) Through A Nationally Recognized Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Current Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Sterile Processing, Including Aami And Aorn Guidelines.

  • Strong Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Coordinate Multiple Tasks And Responsibilities.

  • Familiarity With Catholic Health Initiatives' Mission, Values, And Commitment To Providing Quality Patient Care.
