Sonographer

Catholic Health Initiatives is looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our team. The Sonographer will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images. They will also consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure the proper use of imaging equipment and procedures. To be successful in this role, the Sonographer must possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in medical imaging.The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field• CPR/BLS certification• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification• At least 3 years of experience in sonography• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Knowledge of medical terminology• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Proficiency in diagnostic imaging software

Responsibilities of the Sonographer:

1. Utilize ultrasound imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images for patients.
2. Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure proper use of imaging equipment and procedures.
3. Monitor and adjust imaging techniques according to physician and patient needs.
4. Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures and post-procedure care.
5. Perform routine calibration and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
6. Follow safety protocols and workplace regulations.
7. Maintain patient records and generate reports for review by physicians.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
9. Remain current on industry developments and trends.
