
Senior Coding Compliance Auditor

- Conduct regular audits of coding practices: The Senior Coding Compliance Auditor will be responsible for performing regular audits of coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Identify and report any coding errors or discrepancies: The candidate will be responsible for identifying and reporting any coding errors or discrepancies to the appropriate department for corrective action.
- Review coding policies and procedures: The Senior Coding Compliance Auditor will be responsible for reviewing and updating coding policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with current regulations and guidelines.
- Train and educate staff on coding compliance: The ideal candidate will be responsible for training and educating staff on coding compliance, including any changes to regulations or guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on coding regulations and guidelines: It will be the responsibility of the Senior Coding Compliance Auditor to stay up-to-date on all relevant coding regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments: The candidate will collaborate with other departments, such as finance and billing, to ensure coding practices are aligned and compliant.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans: In cases where coding errors or discrepancies are identified, the Senior Coding Compliance Auditor will be responsible for developing and implementing corrective action plans to address the issue.
- Monitor coding trends and identify areas for improvement: The candidate will be responsible for monitoring coding trends and identifying areas for improvement to ensure the highest level of accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to coding staff: The Senior Coding Compliance Auditor will provide guidance and support to coding staff, including answering any questions and addressing any concerns related to coding compliance.
- Maintain documentation and records: It will be the responsibility of the candidate to maintain accurate documentation and records of coding audits, corrective actions, and any other relevant information.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations: The Senior Coding Compliance Auditor will adhere to all HIPAA regulations and ensure that all confidential information is handled with the utmost care and security.
- Participate in coding compliance
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Coding Compliance And Auditing
Strong Knowledge Of Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Apply Complex Coding Guidelines And Regulations.
