  1. Conduct thorough and detailed audits of coding practices to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  2. Identify and report any potential compliance issues or concerns to management.
  3. Develop and implement strategies and processes to improve coding compliance across the organization.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and accurate coding practices.
  5. Stay up-to-date on all coding regulations and changes in the healthcare industry.
  6. Provide guidance and education to coding staff on compliance standards and best practices.
  7. Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to coding compliance.
  8. Serve as a subject matter expert on coding compliance for internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Conduct investigations and follow-up on any reported compliance issues.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of audit findings, corrective action plans, and other compliance-related records.
  11. Assist with the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  12. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
  13. Act as a resource for coding staff, answering any questions or concerns related to compliance.
  14. Analyze coding data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for corrective action.
  15. Uphold the organization's mission and values by promoting ethical and compliant coding practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Coding And Auditing In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Current Healthcare Compliance Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Provide Constructive Feedback To Coding Staff And Effectively Communicate Audit Findings To Leadership.
