  1. Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign ICD-10 codes for risk adjustment purposes.
  2. Ensure all codes are compliant with coding guidelines and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with medical providers and coding team to clarify documentation and ensure accuracy of coding.
  4. Stay up-to-date on coding changes and updates related to risk adjustment.
  5. Communicate with insurance companies and other healthcare stakeholders to resolve any coding-related issues.
  6. Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in coding tasks.
  7. Identify and report any potential compliance issues or errors.
  8. Participate in training and education programs to enhance coding skills and stay current with industry standards.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of patient health information.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to improve documentation and coding processes.
  11. Assist with data validation and audits as needed.
  12. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to risk adjustment coding.
  13. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  14. Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (Crc) Certification From Aapc Or Ahima.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Coding Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Risk Adjustment Coding.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Icd-10-Cm Coding Guidelines And Cms-Hcc Risk Adjustment Methodology.

  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology.

  • Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills With The Ability To Accurately Identify And Code Complex Medical Conditions.
