- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign ICD-10 codes for risk adjustment purposes.
- Ensure all codes are compliant with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with medical providers and coding team to clarify documentation and ensure accuracy of coding.
- Stay up-to-date on coding changes and updates related to risk adjustment.
- Communicate with insurance companies and other healthcare stakeholders to resolve any coding-related issues.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in coding tasks.
- Identify and report any potential compliance issues or errors.
- Participate in training and education programs to enhance coding skills and stay current with industry standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient health information.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve documentation and coding processes.
- Assist with data validation and audits as needed.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to risk adjustment coding.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.
Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (Crc) Certification From Aapc Or Ahima.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Coding Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Risk Adjustment Coding.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Icd-10-Cm Coding Guidelines And Cms-Hcc Risk Adjustment Methodology.
Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology.
Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills With The Ability To Accurately Identify And Code Complex Medical Conditions.
