  1. Accurately code and review medical records for risk adjustment purposes in accordance with coding guidelines and regulations.
  2. Ensure compliance with all coding and documentation standards set by governing bodies, such as CMS and AHIMA.
  3. Conduct thorough chart reviews to identify and capture all relevant diagnoses and conditions for risk adjustment.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to obtain necessary documentation and clarify coding discrepancies.
  5. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while coding and reviewing records.
  6. Stay up-to-date on changes and updates in coding guidelines and regulations, and implement necessary changes in coding practices.
  7. Utilize strong analytical skills to identify potential coding errors and work to resolve them in a timely manner.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and accurate coding processes.
  9. Participate in regular coding audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  10. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  11. Provide education and training to fellow coders and healthcare professionals on coding best practices and updates.
  12. Contribute to the overall success of the risk adjustment program by meeting productivity and quality goals.
  13. Act as a resource for coding inquiries and assist in resolving any coding-related issues.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (Crc) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Coding Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Familiarity With Cms-Hcc Risk Adjustment Models And Coding Guidelines.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Icd-10-Cm And Cpt Coding Systems.

  • Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
