- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols.
- Monitor and assess patient's response to treatment, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare team members to develop treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records for each patient.
- Educate patients and their families about radiation therapy, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during treatment, promoting a positive and caring atmosphere.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills related to radiation therapy through attending trainings and workshops.
- Adhere to organization's values of integrity, compassion, and excellence in all aspects of job performance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure effective and efficient care.
- Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by supervisor or management.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Radiation Therapist In A Clinical Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Procedures And Protocols.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients And A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team.
