
Phlebotomist
At Catholic Health Initiatives, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients by providing efficient and accurate phlebotomy services.The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a phlebotomy role and possess current certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. You should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and a desire to provide exceptional patient care. A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Additionally, you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and is dedicated to providing the best care possible. Responsibilities:
- Draw blood from patients in a professional, safe, and proficient manner.
- Collect and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis.
- Verify patient information and obtain consent for blood draws.
- Label and store specimens properly following established protocol.
- Provide accurate and timely patient and test results.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and order new supplies when needed.
- Ensure laboratory areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Assist in training and evaluating new phlebotomists.
- Handle difficult or emergency situations with professionalism and composure.
