Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for performing venipuncture, capillary puncture, and other related tasks in a hospital or medical office setting. You should have excellent communication and customer service skills, and a passion for providing quality patient care.To be successful in this position, you should be able to multitask, work independently and as part of a team, and have a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy, have a valid phlebotomy certification, and hold current CPR certification. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture in a safe and accurate manner.
  2. Ensure quality patient care by providing accurate information to patients.
  3. Maintain patient records and filing systems.
  4. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
  5. Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
  6. Establish good rapport with patients and their families.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  8. Assist with other related tasks as needed.
  9. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
  10. Stay current with continuing education and certification requirements.
