Phlebotomist

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities:

1. Collect and process blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
3. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to universal precautions.
4. Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment, and report any issues to the laboratory manager.
5. Prepare blood samples for testing, and interpret and document results.
6. Answer patient questions and provide information about the collection process.
7. Perform accurate record keeping and documentation of all specimens collected.
8. Perform venipuncture, skin punctures, and other specimen collection techniques.
9. Monitor patient vital signs and provide basic patient care.
10. Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
