
Phlebotomist
At Catholic Health Initiatives, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team! As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to universal precautions.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment, and report any issues to the laboratory manager.
- Prepare blood samples for testing, and interpret and document results.
- Answer patient questions and provide information about the collection process.
- Perform accurate record keeping and documentation of all specimens collected.
- Perform venipuncture, skin punctures, and other specimen collection techniques.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide basic patient care.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
