As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in our mission by providing direct patient care and support to our healthcare team.   1. Provide direct patient care: This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, and monitoring vital signs and other health indicators.
  2. Support healthcare team: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals to ensure quality patient care and assist with medical procedures and treatments.
  3. Demonstrate compassion: Show empathy and understanding to patients and their families, and provide emotional support during difficult times.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean environment: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized patient care area to prevent the spread of illness and disease.
  5. Monitor patient progress: Observe and report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team and assist with updating patient records.
  6. Assist with patient education: Educate patients and their families on proper self-care techniques and provide resources for further education and support.
  7. Adhere to HIPAA and other healthcare regulations: Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all healthcare laws and regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  8. Communicate effectively: Maintain clear and open communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure all needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  9. Attend training and development opportunities: Stay updated on best practices and new technologies in patient care by attending training and development sessions.
  10. Demonstrate professionalism: Represent the organization in a positive manner and uphold the values and mission of Catholic Health Initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Patient Care Technician Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Patient Care Techniques And Procedures, Such As A Certificate Or Associate's Degree Program.

  • Certification As A Patient Care Technician: Candidates Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Patient Care Technician, Such As The National Certified Patient Care Technician (Ncpct) Certification From The National Center For Competency Testing.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least One Year Of Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital, Clinic, Or Long-Term Care Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures, Including Basic Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.
