  1. Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions and injuries.
  2. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and needs.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs and response to treatments.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment plans.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  7. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address patient needs and concerns.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  11. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current in orthopedic nursing practices.
  12. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are considered in their care.
  13. Communicate effectively with physicians, team members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient care.
  14. Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
  15. Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Catholic Health Initiatives in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution

  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience In Orthopedics Or A Related Field

  • Certification As An Orthopedic Nurse (Onc) Or Willingness To Obtain Within 1 Year Of Employment

  • Strong Knowledge Of Orthopedic Conditions, Treatments, And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Post-Operative Care And Rehabilitation.
