In this role, you will play a crucial part in the monitoring and interpretation of patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms.   1. Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Notify nursing staff of any significant changes or abnormalities in patient monitoring.
  3. Maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  4. Document all monitoring activities and report any issues or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures while performing duties.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
  7. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and changes.
  8. Assist in the orientation and training of new monitor technicians.
  9. Stay updated on current medical terminology and procedures related to monitoring and interpreting vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
  10. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and effectively prioritize tasks.
  11. Provide compassionate and quality care to patients by showing empathy and respect.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
  13. Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  15. Attend all required trainings and meetings to stay up-to-date on changes and new procedures.
  16. Take initiative to identify and address potential patient safety risks.
  17. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  18. Act as a positive representative of Catholic Health Initiatives, promoting a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for patients and visitors.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Completion Of A Recognized Monitor Technician Training Program.

  • Current Certification As A Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat).

  • Minimum Of One Year Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Cardiac Monitoring Or Telemetry Unit.

  • Knowledge Of Basic Medical Terminology And Proficiency In Using Medical Equipment And Computer Systems For Data Entry And Analysis.
