As a Monitor Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients by continuously monitoring their cardiac rhythms and promptly notifying the medical team of any changes.   1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms of patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  2. Continuously monitor and promptly notify medical team of any changes in patient cardiac rhythms.
  3. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  4. Communicate effectively with medical team members to provide timely updates on patients' conditions.
  5. Document and maintain accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms and any changes or interventions.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and individualized patient care.
  7. Recognize and report potential signs of heart complications or emergencies.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues with cardiac monitoring equipment.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Stay up-to-date with advancements in cardiac monitoring technology and procedures.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  12. Provide support and assistance to other members of the healthcare team as needed.
  13. Attend training and educational sessions to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  14. Display a high level of professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families.
  15. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Monitor Technician At Catholic Health Initiatives Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Shows That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Academic Subjects And Is Able To Complete Coursework Successfully.

  • Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Credential: Catholic Health Initiatives May Require Candidates For A Monitor Technician Position To Hold A Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Credential. This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Undergone Specialized Training In Electrocardiography And Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Job.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Work Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Medical Clinic, Is Highly Desirable For A Monitor Technician Position. This Shows That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Monitor Technician, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Healthcare Professionals, Patients, And Their Families. Therefore, Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively And Clearly In A High-Stress Environment.

  • Attention To Detail: Monitoring Patients' Vital Signs And Interpreting Their Electrocardiograms (Ecgs) Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
