  1. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in medical physics to provide accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy to patients.
  2. Oversee and perform quality assurance checks on all radiation therapy equipment and treatment plans to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  3. Collaborate with the radiation oncology team, including physicians, therapists, and dosimetrists, to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  4. Conduct radiation safety training for staff and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  5. Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in medical physics and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all treatment plans, equipment calibrations, and quality assurance checks.
  7. Provide guidance and support to other members of the radiation oncology team, including dosimetrists and therapists.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to radiation therapy.
  9. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to radiation safety and medical physics.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and safety by providing compassionate and empathetic support to patients undergoing radiation therapy treatments.
  11. Actively participate in professional development opportunities, such as conferences and workshops, to continuously enhance knowledge and skills in medical physics.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Or Higher In Medical Physics Or A Related Field.

  • Certification By The American Board Of Radiology (Abr) Or American Board Of Medical Physics (Abmp).

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Clinical Medical Physics.

  • Strong Understanding Of Radiation Safety Regulations And Guidelines.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Healthcare Teams And Patients.
