Job Description

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a Manager for our Intensive Care Unit to lead a team of skilled and compassionate nurses in providing exceptional care to our patients.   1. Lead and manage a team of nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to ensure high-quality patient care.
  2. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the ICU.
  3. Identify and address any issues or concerns that may arise within the ICU team.
  4. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to nursing staff.
  7. Create and maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  8. Serve as a resource and mentor for the ICU team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  9. Develop and manage the ICU budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
  10. Oversee the admission, discharge, and transfer process for ICU patients.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
  12. Stay current with advancements in healthcare and implement best practices within the ICU.
  13. Participate in organizational meetings and committees to contribute to the overall improvement of patient care.
  14. Adhere to Catholic Health Initiatives' mission, vision, and values.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of care provided in the ICU.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing: A Manager - Nursing Icu At Catholic Health Initiatives Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Nursing, With A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree Being Preferred. This Shows A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.

  • Active Nursing License: To Be Considered For The Role, Candidates Must Hold An Active And Unrestricted Nursing License. This Ensures They Have Met The Necessary Requirements To Practice Nursing And Are Up-To-Date With Current Regulations And Standards.

  • Previous Management Experience: Catholic Health Initiatives Seeks Candidates With Previous Management Experience, Preferably In An Icu Setting. This Demonstrates The Ability To Lead A Team, Make Critical Decisions, And Manage Resources Effectively.

  • Strong Clinical Skills: As A Manager - Nursing Icu, It Is Essential To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Critical Care Nursing And Be Able To Provide Guidance And Support To Staff In Complex Patient Care Situations.
