ER Technician

Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is looking for an experienced and compassionate ER Technician to join our Emergency Room team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Emergency Department staff, including patient assessment, treatments, and procedures. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an emergency room. You should also possess a valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and a minimum of a high school diploma. In addition, you should have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with administering medications. Responsibilities:

1. Perform patient assessments, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established protocols.
2. Administer medications as directed by physicians and nurses.
3. Monitor patient vital signs and provide appropriate interventions.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
6. Respond promptly to patient calls for assistance.
7. Assist with bedside procedures, such as wound care, casting, and other medical treatments.
8. Assist with setting up and sterilizing equipment.
9. Assist in emergency situations as needed.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
