- Oversee and supervise the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program, ensuring that it aligns with the values and mission of Catholic Health Initiatives.
- Guide and mentor CPE students in their spiritual and professional development, providing support and feedback.
- Develop and facilitate educational programs and workshops for CPE students, covering topics such as pastoral care principles and Catholic faith values.
- Collaborate with other members of the spiritual care team to provide comprehensive spiritual care services to patients, families, and staff.
- Evaluate and assess the progress of CPE students, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of CPE students' progress and ensure compliance with accreditation and certification standards.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for CPE students, promoting diversity and cultural sensitivity.
- Continuously strive to improve and enhance the CPE program, incorporating new and innovative approaches.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of pastoral care and incorporate them into the CPE program.
- Act as a role model for CPE students, embodying the values and principles of Catholic faith in all aspects of the job.
Master's Degree In Theology Or Related Field: A Clinical Pastoral Education (Cpe) Supervisor At Catholic Health Initiatives Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Theology Or A Related Field. This Will Ensure That They Have A Solid Understanding Of The Catholic Faith And Can Effectively Guide And Mentor Cpe Students.
Certification As A Cpe Supervisor: Ideally, The Candidate Should Be Certified As A Cpe Supervisor By The Association For Clinical Pastoral Education (Acpe). This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Completed Rigorous Training And Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Supervise And Teach Cpe Students.
Experience In Healthcare Chaplaincy: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Chaplaincy. This Experience Will Provide Them With A Deep Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Opportunities Of Providing Spiritual Care In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Cpe Supervisor, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Guiding And Mentoring Cpe Students From A Variety Of Backgrounds. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Connect With And Support These Students.
