Job Description

We are currently seeking a Clinical Pastoral Education Supervisor to join our team and provide leadership and guidance to our CPE program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support and shape the spiritual care of our patients, families, and staff through the education and training of future chaplains.   1. Develop and oversee the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program, including curriculum design, evaluation, and supervision of students.
  2. Provide spiritual guidance, support, and counseling to patients, families, and staff in accordance with Catholic values and teachings.
  3. Mentor and train future chaplains, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in pastoral care.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate spiritual care into overall patient treatment plans.
  5. Serve as a role model for compassionate and spiritually-grounded care, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and cultural sensitivity.
  6. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of the CPE program, making adjustments as needed to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  7. Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the CPE program, encouraging students to reflect on their experiences and incorporate feedback into their practice.
  8. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in pastoral care, incorporating new ideas and methods into the CPE program.
  9. Communicate and collaborate with other departments and leadership to ensure the integration and coordination of spiritual care services.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the CPE program, including student progress, evaluations, and program outcomes.
  11. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Health Initiatives and promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration.
  12. Participate in professional development activities, including conferences, workshops, and training, to enhance knowledge and skills in pastoral care and education.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of spiritual care and education.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree In Divinity, Theology, Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Certified Chaplain Or Clinical Pastoral Education (Cpe) Supervisor.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Teach And Guide Students In The Cpe Program, Incorporating Catholic Teachings And Values.

  • Strong Understanding Of And Commitment To The Mission And Values Of Catholic Health Initiatives.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Individuals And Groups.
