  1. Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, providing surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by following established protocols and procedures for infection control, sterilization, and patient positioning.
  3. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical instruments used, and supplies utilized.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support before and after surgical procedures.
  6. Monitor and maintain the inventory of surgical supplies, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Participate in the orientation and training of new team members, sharing knowledge and expertise in surgical technology and patient care.
  8. Adhere to all hospital and industry regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  9. Remain current on advancements and changes in surgical technology and procedures, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and mutual respect among all members of the healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program: Applicants Must Have Completed An Accredited Program In Surgical Technology, Which Includes Classroom Instruction And Clinical Training.

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential: Candidates Must Possess A Current Cst Certification Through The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting: Applicants Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technician In A Hospital Or Surgical Center.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment: Candidates Should Be Familiar With A Variety Of Surgical Procedures And Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Instruments, Equipment, And Supplies.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Member Of The Surgical Team, It Is Essential For Surgical Technicians To Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
