Job Description

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team.   1. Provide compassionate and professional care to patients in need of occupational therapy services.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Collaborate with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  4. Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques and exercises to promote independence and improve quality of life.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  7. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to occupational therapy practice.
  8. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  9. Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
  12. Comply with all safety standards and protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of Catholic Health Initiatives in all interactions and activities.
  15. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  16. Continuously evaluate and improve upon occupational therapy practices to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  17. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  18. Serve as an advocate for patients and their needs.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising occupational therapist or management team.
  20. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Certification As An Occupational Therapy Assistant (Cota) From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience As A Cota In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Center.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Occupational Therapy Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.
