Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join the team at Catholic Health Initiatives. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping others, takes initiative, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.The successful candidate will have a valid certification from an accredited medical assistant program, as well as a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems are preferred. In addition, excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with Catholic Health Initiatives policies and procedures.
2. Take vital signs, perform basic medical tests, and accurately document patient history.
3. Assist with patient exams and treatments, as directed by the physician or nurse.
4. Administer medications, as prescribed by the physician.
5. Maintain patient records and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
7. Respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
8. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
9. Schedule patient appointments and maintain calendars.
10. Assist with other administrative tasks, as needed.
