Job Description

As an Anesthesia Coder, you will play a crucial role in accurately coding and billing for anesthesia services provided to our patients. Our ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of coding and billing guidelines, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.   1. Accurately code and bill for anesthesia services provided to patients in accordance with coding and billing guidelines.
  2. Review and analyze medical records to ensure all anesthesia services are properly coded and billed.
  3. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all coding and billing tasks.
  4. Communicate with healthcare providers and billing staff to resolve any coding or billing discrepancies.
  5. Remain up-to-date on coding and billing regulations and changes in the healthcare industry.
  6. Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet coding and billing deadlines.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely coding and billing.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide suggestions for streamlining coding and billing processes.
  10. Participate in training and education programs to enhance coding and billing skills.
  11. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the coding and billing team.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers regarding coding and billing inquiries.
  13. Follow all organizational policies and procedures related to coding and billing.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Health Initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification From Aapc Or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-Based (Ccs-P) Certification From Ahima.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Coding Experience In Anesthesia Coding In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs Coding Guidelines And Principles.

  • Familiarity With Anesthesia Billing And Reimbursement Processes.

  • Ability To Communicate Effectively And Collaborate With Healthcare Providers, Coding Team Members, And Other Stakeholders.
