Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and organized Procurement Assistant to join Carrefour and support the efficient and successful operations of our Procurement Department. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. If you are a personable individual who is eager to take on this challenge, we would love to hear from you!Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field• At least 2 years of professional experience in a procurement role• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)• Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the procurement process for all procurements, ensuring that all purchases are made in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  2. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to identify and obtain the most cost-effective solutions for the organization.
  3. Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible value for the organization.
  4. Ensure that all purchases are made within the approved budget.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and reorder when necessary.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  8. Provide advice and guidance to staff regarding the procurement process.
  9. Monitor changes in the industry and recommend updates to procurement policies and procedures.
  10. Work with other departments to ensure that procurement activities are coordinated.
