  1. Develop and implement philanthropic strategies that align with the mission and values of Carnegie Mellon University.
  2. Lead and manage projects related to philanthropic initiatives, including setting goals, creating timelines, and coordinating team efforts.
  3. Collaborate with university leadership, faculty, and staff to identify potential funding opportunities and cultivate relationships with donors.
  4. Develop and maintain a network of donors and partners to support philanthropic efforts.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in philanthropy to continuously improve and innovate our approach.
  6. Monitor and report on the progress and impact of philanthropic projects to university stakeholders.
  7. Develop and manage budgets for philanthropic initiatives, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  8. Coordinate with various departments and teams within the university to ensure alignment and integration of philanthropic efforts.
  9. Represent Carnegie Mellon University at events and conferences related to philanthropy.
  10. Maintain a strong understanding of the university's research and educational programs to effectively communicate the impact of philanthropic support.
  11. Foster a culture of philanthropy within the university community, encouraging and recognizing contributions and involvement.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to philanthropic activities.
  13. Identify potential risks and challenges and proactively develop solutions to mitigate them.
  14. Hire, train, and supervise a team of staff and volunteers to support philanthropic initiatives.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of philanthropic processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Or Public Policy.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Project Management, Preferably In The Nonprofit Sector Or Higher Education.

  • Strong Understanding Of Strategic Philanthropy And Experience Developing And Implementing Successful Initiatives.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects, Meet Deadlines, And Adapt To Changing Priorities.
