- Develop and implement training programs for students to promote mental health and well-being.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and research in mental health to effectively support students.
- Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback to continually improve training and counseling services.
- Provide guidance and support for students in crisis or experiencing mental health challenges.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of counseling and training staff.
- Develop and manage budgets for training and counseling programs.
- Collaborate with campus partners to promote mental health awareness and resources.
- Maintain and adhere to ethical and legal standards for counseling and training services.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Create and maintain a welcoming and safe space for all students seeking support.
- Use a culturally sensitive approach in all interactions with students.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students' mental health needs.
- Regularly evaluate and assess the effectiveness of training and counseling services.
- Manage and maintain confidential student records and documentation.
- Stay informed and compliant with all university policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and committees as needed.
- Collaborate with campus resources to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Represent the university and its mission positively and professionally in all interactions with students, staff, and the public.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role Within A Counseling Or Training Program.
Extensive Knowledge And Understanding Of Counseling Theories, Techniques, And Best Practices.
Strong Organizational And Administrative Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Programs And Initiatives Simultaneously.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Individuals And Groups.
