Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Consultant at CarMax. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional service to our valued customers and help them navigate the car buying and maintenance process.   1. Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, both in-person and over the phone.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Customer Service Experience: A Service Consultant At Carmax Should Have Previous Experience In A Customer-Facing Role, Preferably In A Retail Or Automotive Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle Customer Inquiries And Provide Excellent Service.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Service Consultant, One Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Colleagues, And Other Departments Within The Company. This Includes Being Able To Explain Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Automotive Knowledge: While Not Necessarily Required, Having A Background Or Interest In The Automotive Industry Can Be Beneficial For A Service Consultant. This Will Help Them Understand The Technical Aspects Of The Job And Be Able To Assist Customers With Their Vehicle Concerns.

  • Organizational Skills: A Service Consultant Needs To Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks At Once And Prioritize Their Workload. They Should Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Maintain Accurate Records Of Customer Interactions And Service Orders.

  • Team Player Mentality: Carmax Values Collaboration And Teamwork, So A Service Consultant Should Be Able To Work Well With Others And Contribute To A Positive Work Environment. This Includes Being Flexible And Willing To Assist Colleagues As Needed.
