1. Develop and implement audit strategies and plans for technology systems, processes, and controls within CarMax.
2. Oversee and guide a team of technology auditors, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
3. Conduct thorough and comprehensive audits of technology systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
4. Identify potential risks and areas for improvement within technology systems and processes, and make recommendations for remediation and enhancement.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and compliance, to ensure effective and efficient processes and controls are in place.
6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in technology auditing to continuously improve and update audit processes and procedures.
7. Foster a culture of compliance and accountability by promoting and enforcing company policies and procedures.
8. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations.
9. Develop and maintain audit reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
10. Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide training and education initiatives related to technology auditing.
11. Monitor and track audit findings and recommendations to ensure timely and effective resolution.
12. Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the audit function to ensure it remains aligned with company goals and objectives.
13. Represent CarMax in external audits and regulatory inquiries related to technology systems and processes.
14. Continuously evaluate and enhance the technology audit program to ensure it remains in line with industry standards and best practices.
15. Serve as a subject matter expert on technology audits and provide guidance and support to other teams and departments as needed.
