As the Senior Corporate HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our organization by providing strategic HR support and guidance to our corporate leaders.   1. Develop and implement effective HR strategies and initiatives that align with CarMax's overall business objectives.
  2. Serve as the primary HR business partner to corporate leaders, providing guidance and support on all HR-related matters.
  3. Conduct regular needs assessments to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for implementing solutions.
  4. Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure consistent and fair application of company policies and procedures.
  5. Act as a champion for diversity and inclusion initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  6. Advise on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  7. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify and attract top talent to the organization.
  8. Conduct data analysis to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for improving HR processes and practices.
  9. Keep up-to-date on HR laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  10. Mentor and coach junior HR team members to support their professional development and growth.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement company-wide initiatives and programs.
  12. Develop and deliver training programs to educate managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  13. Participate in the development and management of HR budgets and resources.
  14. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in HR to continuously improve and enhance HR strategies and processes.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Hr Experience: A Senior Corporate Hr Business Partner At Carmax Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Hr Field, With A Strong Understanding Of Hr Best Practices, Employment Laws, And Regulations.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Think Critically And Strategically, And To Identify And Address Complex Hr Issues And Challenges In A Fast-Paced Corporate Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Hr Leader, The Business Partner Will Need To Effectively Communicate And Build Relationships With All Levels Of Employees, Including Executives, Managers, And Front-Line Staff.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Managing A Team Of Hr Professionals, As Well As The Ability To Provide Direction, Mentorship, And Support To The Hr Team.

  • Business Acumen And Financial Literacy: Carmax Is A Large And Highly Successful Corporation, And The Senior Corporate Hr Business Partner Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Business Operations, Financial Metrics, And How Hr Initiatives Impact The Bottom Line.
