- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the dealership.
- Assist customers in finding the right vehicle for their needs.
- Conduct thorough vehicle walk-arounds and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of each car.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to and addressing any concerns or questions customers may have.
- Learn and understand the sales process at CarMax, including financing and trade-in procedures.
- Attend training and development sessions to gain knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful sales consultant.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with customers and fellow team members.
- Develop strong product knowledge of all vehicles in inventory.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Meet and exceed sales goals and objectives.

Strong Communication Skills: A Sales Consultant Trainee Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers And Promote Carmax Products And Services.
Customer Service Experience: Prior Experience In Customer Service Or Sales Roles Is Desirable For This Position As It Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Customer Inquiries And Provide A Positive Buying Experience.
Team Player: A Trainee Should Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment And Collaborate With Other Sales Consultants And Team Members To Achieve Sales Goals.
Basic Knowledge Of Automotive Industry: While Not Required, A Basic Understanding Of The Automotive Industry And Its Terminology Can Be Beneficial In This Role As It Allows The Candidate To Better Assist Customers And Understand Carmax's Products And Services.
