Inventory Associate

- Ensure accuracy and organization of vehicle inventory by regularly conducting physical counts and reconciling with electronic records.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand and sales targets.
- Collaborate with other team members to receive and process new vehicle shipments.
- Conduct regular quality checks on vehicles to ensure they meet company standards and address any issues promptly.
- Assist with vehicle transfers between locations and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Use inventory management software to update and track vehicle information, including pricing and availability.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to management in a timely manner.
- Keep the lot and showroom clean and organized to provide a positive customer experience.
- Assist customers with locating specific vehicles and provide accurate information about available inventory.
- Work closely with sales and service departments to ensure timely and efficient vehicle flow.
- Help with vehicle merchandising and display to attract potential customers.
- Continuously seek ways to improve inventory processes and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies and procedures.
- Attend training and development sessions to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and new inventory management software.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management Systems And Software Is Necessary For An Inventory Associate At Carmax. This Includes The Ability To Accurately Track And Record Inventory Levels, Generate Reports, And Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
Attention To Detail: The Inventory Associate Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Discrepancies In Inventory Records. They Must Also Ensure That All Inventory Is Accurately Labeled And Stored In The Correct Location.
Organizational Skills: Carmax Deals With A Large Volume Of Inventory, So The Inventory Associate Must Be Highly Organized And Able To Effectively Manage And Prioritize Tasks. This Includes Keeping Track Of Inventory Levels, Scheduling Deliveries And Shipments, And Maintaining Accurate Records.
Physical Stamina: This Role Requires A Lot Of Physical Activity, Including Lifting, Carrying, And Moving Heavy Inventory. The Inventory Associate Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Teamwork And Communication: The Inventory Associate Will Work Closely With Other Team Members, Including Sales Associates And Managers. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For This Role To Ensure That Inventory Is Accurately Tracked And Managed.
