
Inventory Associate

- Maintain accurate and organized inventory levels: The Inventory Associate is responsible for regularly conducting inventory audits and ensuring that the correct vehicles are in stock and properly organized on the lot.
- Monitor and track vehicle movement: The Inventory Associate will be responsible for tracking the movement of vehicles on the lot, from arrival to sale, to ensure that all vehicles are accounted for at all times.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections: The Inventory Associate will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections of vehicles upon arrival and before they are put on the lot, to ensure that they meet CarMax's standards.
- Assist with vehicle reconditioning: The Inventory Associate will work closely with the Service and Detail departments to ensure that any necessary repairs or detailing are completed on time and accurately.
- Maintain lot organization and appearance: The Inventory Associate will ensure that the lot is well-organized and visually appealing for customers, including arranging vehicles and keeping the lot clean.
- Collaborate with sales team: The Inventory Associate will work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and help them locate specific vehicles for customers.
- Keep track of vehicle information: The Inventory Associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of vehicle information and ensuring that all paperwork is properly completed and filed.

Strong Organizational Skills: Inventory Associates At Carmax Must Be Able To Efficiently And Accurately Organize And Track Large Quantities Of Inventory, Including Vehicles, Parts, And Accessories.
Detail-Oriented: Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role, As Inventory Associates Are Responsible For Identifying And Documenting Any Discrepancies Or Issues With Inventory.
Proficient With Technology: Carmax Relies Heavily On Technology For Inventory Management, So Candidates For This Role Should Be Comfortable Using Computers And Various Software Programs.
Physical Stamina: Inventory Associates Must Be Able To Stand, Walk, And Lift For Extended Periods Of Time, As The Job Often Involves Physically Moving And Inspecting Vehicles And Parts.
