- Maintain and organize inventory: The primary responsibility of an Inventory Associate is to ensure that all vehicles on the lot are organized, accounted for, and easily accessible for both employees and customers.
- Conduct inventory checks: Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate counts and maintain proper stock levels. This includes verifying vehicle information and identifying any discrepancies.
- Manage vehicle transfers: Facilitate the process of transferring vehicles between different CarMax locations, ensuring proper documentation and timely delivery.
- Perform quality control: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet CarMax's standards for quality and safety. This includes identifying and reporting any issues or concerns.
- Update vehicle information: Accurately input and update vehicle information in the CarMax database to ensure all records are up to date and accurate.
- Assist with customer inquiries: Act as a point of contact for customers who have questions or need assistance with locating specific vehicles on the lot.
- Support sales team: Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth and efficient process for customers looking to purchase vehicles. This may include locating specific vehicles, providing information on pricing and availability, and assisting with test drives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization: Keep the inventory lot clean and organized at all times to provide a positive and professional experience for customers.
- Follow safety protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and customers.
- Continuously improve processes: Proactively identify areas for improvement and make suggestions to enhance efficiency and productivity within the inventory department.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Previous Experience In Inventory Management Or Related Field
