  1. Maintain accurate inventory levels by regularly updating and organizing vehicle information in our system.
  2. Conduct daily physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  3. Communicate effectively with the sales team to ensure timely updates on vehicle availability and status.
  4. Assist with the receiving and stocking of new inventory, including conducting thorough inspections and documenting any damages.
  5. Collaborate with the sales team to prepare vehicles for display and test drives.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns related to inventory.
  7. Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during inventory management.
  8. Adhere to company policies and procedures for handling and storing inventory.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient workflow.
  10. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy in inventory management.
  11. Train and mentor new team members on inventory management procedures.
  12. Participate in regular team meetings and provide input and feedback for improving inventory management processes.
  13. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  14. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to stay informed and make recommendations for improving inventory management practices.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Attention To Detail: As An Inventory Associate At Carmax, You Will Be Responsible For Accurately Documenting And Tracking Inventory Levels. A Strong Attention To Detail Is Essential To Ensure That Inventory Records Are Accurate And Up To Date.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Carmax Is A Fast-Paced, High-Volume Retail Environment. As An Inventory Associate, You Will Need To Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively In This Fast-Paced Setting.

  • Prior Inventory Management Experience: Previous Experience In Inventory Management, Preferably In A Retail Or Automotive Setting, Is Highly Desired For This Role. This Experience Will Give You A Strong Foundation In Inventory Processes And Procedures.

  • Computer Proficiency: As An Inventory Associate, You Will Be Working With Various Computer Systems To Track And Manage Inventory. Proficiency In Basic Computer Skills, Such As Data Entry And Microsoft Excel, Is Necessary For Success In This Role.

  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: Carmax Is A Busy And Dynamic Workplace, And As An Inventory Associate, You Will Need To Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Manage Your Time Effectively. Strong Organizational Skills Will Also Help You Maintain Accurate And Organized Inventory Records.
