  1. Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for all vehicles on the lot.
  2. Conduct regular physical counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  3. Organize and maintain the lot to ensure a clean and presentable appearance.
  4. Receive and process incoming vehicles, including completing necessary paperwork and entering vehicle information into inventory system.
  5. Prepare vehicles for sale by ensuring they are clean, fueled, and properly displayed.
  6. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely movement of vehicles on and off the lot.
  7. Assist customers with locating specific vehicles and provide information about inventory availability.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any inventory issues or concerns.
  9. Follow established safety procedures and guidelines when handling and moving vehicles.
  10. Continuously strive to improve inventory management processes and suggest ideas for optimization.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the CarMax brand.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  14. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and inventory management processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Inventory Management: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Managing Inventory, Preferably In A Retail Or Automotive Setting. This Includes Skills In Inventory Tracking, Auditing, And Maintaining Accurate Records.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Inventory Associate At Carmax, It Is Crucial To Have A Keen Eye For Detail. This Includes Being Able To Accurately Count And Record Inventory, Identify Discrepancies, And Maintain Organization Within The Inventory System.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Role Of An Inventory Associate Requires Frequent Communication With Other Team Members, As Well As Customers. Candidates Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate Inventory Status And Any Issues That May Arise.
