  1. Maintain Accurate Inventory: The primary responsibility of an Inventory Associate is to ensure the accuracy of our inventory tracking system. This includes conducting regular audits, updating inventory records, and resolving any discrepancies.
  2. Monitor Inventory Levels: The Inventory Associate will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and notifying management when stock is running low. They will also assist in restocking and organizing inventory to ensure efficient use of space and easy access to vehicles.
  3. Conduct Inspections: The Inventory Associate will conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet company standards and are ready for sale. They will also document any damages or issues with vehicles and work with the appropriate team members to address them.
  4. Collaborate with Team: The Inventory Associate will work closely with other team members, including sales associates and management, to ensure a smooth and efficient inventory process. This may include assisting in vehicle transfers, coordinating with the service department, and providing support during busy periods.
  5. Maintain Clean and Organized Work Area: As an Inventory Associate, it is important to maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure the safety of yourself and others. This includes keeping workstations, storage areas, and vehicles clean and free of clutter.
  6. Follow Standard Operating Procedures: The Inventory Associate will be expected to follow all company policies and procedures related to inventory management, vehicle inspections, and safety protocols.
  7. Meet Deadlines: The Inventory Associate will be responsible for meeting tight deadlines, such as completing inventory counts and audits, to ensure the timely and accurate updating of inventory records.
  8. Continuously Improve Processes: The Inventory Associate will be encouraged to identify and suggest improvements to inventory processes, including ways to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Provide Excellent Customer Service: As a member of the CarMax team, the Inventory Associate will be expected to uphold our commitment to providing the best car-buying experience for our customers. This may include assisting customers with locating vehicles and answering any inventory-related questions.
