- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of emissions testing and repairs.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures related to emissions testing and repairs.
- Adhere to CarMax's standards of quality and customer service at all times.
Knowledge Of Emissions Regulations: A Successful Emissions Technician At Carmax Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Emissions Regulations To Ensure Compliance With All Emission Standards.
Ase Certification: A Certification From The National Institute For Automotive Service Excellence (Ase) In Emissions Or Automotive Technology Is Preferred For This Role.
Experience With Emissions Testing Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Using Emissions Testing Equipment Such As Dynamometers, Gas Analyzers, And Smoke Meters.
Attention To Detail: As An Emissions Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Accurately Diagnose And Repair Emission-Related Issues In Vehicles.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential In This Role, As Emissions Technicians At Carmax Are Expected To Communicate Effectively With Customers And Provide Exceptional Service In A Timely Manner.
